Hola! My name is Susana and I'm from Cuba, a small island-country in the Caribbean Sea. I first came to Japan in 2013 as the recipient of a Monbukagakusho scholarship, and was enrolled at Tsukuba university for 2 years. Spanish is my mother tongue; but I can communicate in English, French, Italian or Japanese as well. I am very happy and excited about Japanese people taking an interest in studying and learning the Spanish language! I have many things I want to share with my students, not only about the Spanish language; but also about the culture of my country, Cuba; and the Spanish-speaking world as a whole. Let's learn and enjoy Spanish together! Espero verte pronto!

In 2009, I graduated in English Language and Literature, with French as second language at University of Havana's School of Foreign Languages (FLEX) in Cuba. My mother tongue is Spanish; I'm fluent in English and can speak conversational French and Italian. I also studied Japanese at Tsukuba university for 2 years, attaining conversational level skills. I have 2-year experience as an English teacher at the University of Havana, and 4-year experience as an English-Spanish language translator and interpreter at Equipo de Servicios de Traducci?n e Interpretaci?n in Havana (The Havana-based Interpretation and Translation Services Agency ESTI). I have also worked as a private English and Spanish teacher since arriving in Japan.
